Rabbi Sandler originally from South Africa,
is well known in the United States and abroad as a
dynamic and entertaining lecturer on a broad range of
Jewish topics. His extensive background and experience
in the Rabbinate and military chaplaincy make
him a most thought-provoking personality.
He served as the rabbi of the Touro Synagogue in
Newport,
RI, the Chairman of the South African Rabbinical
Association and Senior Lecturer of JSUP - a program
that combined Jewish Studies and degree courses
through the University of South Africa.
Rabbi Sandler is most widely known for the twelve
years that he served as the Chief Jewish Chaplain to
the South African Defense Force. During that period he
saw service in peacetime, as well as in operations.

Cantor Bernard Beer
is the director of the Phillip and Sarah Belz
School of Jewish Music of the Rabbi Isaac
Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva
University. He has served in this position
since 1985, and has been affiliated with Y.U.
since 1967.
Cantor Beer regularly lectures on Jewish Music
subjects, and is involved with outreach seminars
throughout the United States and Canada. He has
published several articles for numerous
periodicals and journals on Jewish music as
well. Cantor Beer has composed new curriculum
(updated) for all Nusach (traditional music)
seminars at the Belz School of Jewish Music, and
is in the process of updating soon-to-be
released publications accompanied by audio
cassettes of curriculum utilized at the Belz
School. Cantor Beer additionally serves as the
executive Vice President of the Cantorial
Council of America (an affiliate organization of
the Belz School).

Dr. Gila Sandler trained in School-Clinical Child
Psychology at Pace University in New York City.
She currently serves as the Director of High
School Guidance at Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel
Braverman High School in Brooklyn, New York. Her
work with teens has taken her around the world,
and has included the development and conducting
of educational and motivational seminars for
Jewish high school students world wide. |

After founding the Jewish Learning Institute in
San Diego and successfully running it for three
years,
Rabbi Yossi Bryski
was ready to develop another center
elsewhere. For several months he traveled across
the country, communities in Atlanta and
Sacramento, Calif., among others. On a
cross-country drive from Southern California to
New Haven, Conn., he decided to stop in
Scottsdale because he had heard wonderful things
about the city's Jewish community. he liked it
and decided to stay. "It's a thriving, growing
community," Rabbi Bryski said.
He moved his family to their new home and serves
as the director of adult education for the
Jewish Learning Center of Scottsdale,
He studied Talmud and kabbalah in New York,
London and the Rabbinical College of America in
Morristown, N.J., and received his rabbinic
ordination from Rabbi Shmuel Askhenazi in
Venice, Italy. |
